Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug (PPIC) is an official aviation polytechnic in the environment of Indonesian Ministry of Transportation. Since 1952, PPIC has been notably contributing to Indonesian Aviation Sector in providing the best education for Pilot, Aviation Technician, Air Traffic Control Personnel and many others.
In June 2020, our team set off to explore the future of air transportation system. One that is able to provide limitless possibilities for the industry. Since then, we have come up with a configuration that is able to cater both fully electric and hybrid power system.
Today, our team comprising of more than 800 years of combined aerospace discipline, are all focused on making the future possible. We are developing VELA α, a single pilot and four passenger electric and hybrid VTOL aircraft, which is intended to enter into commercial service in mid 2028.
